About Clean Everest 360°

Mountain Care

We care for a clean mountain, where people and nature exist in balance, giving back to each other.

To make it happen, we built one team around Everest, reuniting local stakeholders in Tibet and Nepal.

We tackle the waste issue from it source, creating regulations with local governments, to it segregation and further treatment, building an Environmental Conservation Center.

Our actions

Environmental charter

We developed a comprehensive charter, approved by Chinese authorities and fully deployed on the Tibetan side of Everest.

We're currently working on its adaptation specifically for Nepal.

Recycling programs

Fully deployed in Tibet, we focus our efforts on launching a recycling program on the Nepali face of Everest, with the objective to collect, sort, and recycle plastic waste in Pangboche.

Educational programs

We train local guides, support tour operators in becoming more responsible, and plan to open a Community Hall in Pangboche where locals and tourists can learn about mountain conservation.

Bi-lateral conferences

Bi-lateral conferences with key stakeholders will enable China to support Nepal in replicating its charter enforcement model, through joint monitoring mechanisms and on-site liaison officers.

Why 360° ?

Two faces

We deploy our actions on both sides of Everest: Nepal (south face) and Tibet (north face).

Waste circle

More than clean-ups, we focus on prevention, regulations and awareness.

Co-building

We co-build the whole project with various local stakeholders, from local governments, NGOs, private actors.
