2019-now

Launched in 2012 in Tibet, the project was born from the observation of the massive pollution issues on Everest, and aims to address it with a deep connection to the Tibetan caring values and vision of the mountains.

Until 2016, the project progressed towards the development of a comprehensive environmental charter, endorsed by the Chinese authorities, to limit the waste in the mountain and to control the tourism actors involved in expeditions.

Until 2019, yearly clean up campaigns are organized, removing more than 10 tons of waste on the Tibetan side of Everest.

The project keeps being smoothly deployed in Tibet, while the waste problem is amplified in Nepal. In 2021 we are contacted by local nepali stakeholders to collaborate and tackle the issue on the other side of Everest: that’s how Clean Everest 360° was born.
