ENVIRONMENTAL CHARTER
Our Achivements in Tibet
We developed a comprehensive Environmental Charter on Everest North Face, approved by Chinese authorities and fully implemented on the Tibetan side of Mount Everest.
The Tibetan Charter focuses on four key areas of action:
Water
Protection of
sources
Waste
Treatment guidelines
Financial
"Cash for Trash"
Incentives
Electricity
use guidelines
Now in Nepal
We are working on adapting this Charter specifically for Nepal, to extend its positive impact to both sides of Everest.
This comprehensive approach has translated into concrete action, from the development of the environmental charter to the deployment of high-altitude ranger teams and yaks for waste transportation, among many other initiatives.
